It’s only 6:30pm and I’m feeling pretty tired. So roaming the hallways wasn’t much help this morning. And it was pouring. I asked directions to the bank to exchange and the supermarket, but it was raining really hard so I decided to just sit in the lobby. One of these entries, I’ll make a video and give you a tour of the dorm. But so I’m sitting in the lobby and trying to listen for people who speak English. No luck. Instead this girl from Mexico comes up to me and makes me record how to say 1-10 in Chinese. Then this Korean girl comes over and we make conversation and soon enough we have another Mexican and another Korean. If I knew their names, I’d tell you, but I seem to have forgotten. But since we’re so diverse, we had a translator in 3 different languages. The girl from Mexico doesn’t understand Chinese, so the Mexican guy (God? I think that’s what he said his name was, or similar to, but we call him God anyway) translates everything in Spanish for her. And then one of the Korean girls doesn’t speak English, so the other Korean (Gina) translated what we said in Korean to her. Good thing we’re all at least bilingual! But soon enough, we’re chatting up a storm and then we go out for lunch.

First Lunch

So here we have my first friends that I went out to eat with. It’s God, me, then Gina, Mario, and…I’m sorry, I forget her name…i have a bad memory. But lunch was good! Then the girls went to do registration stuff because they’re in the masters program and the guys took me to wal-mart to do some shopping! God is actually 28 years old and majoring in journalism and Mario is 20 years old and he’s actually a professor this term teaching spanish to Chinese people. Impressive! So we were in wa-mart and we passed this ad, Jackie Chan has his own shampoo!

Some reason, it’s side ways , I’ll figure it out, but other than that I think it’s pretty sweet. So after that, we went back to the dorms and hooked my internet up, which is why I get to write my blog! I took a shower, and the water is pretty smelly. Ick. I’m going to try to figure out how to do my laundry too. But before that, first things first! I’m taking a nap. zzzz…
