So…right now you would expect me to be on a plane flying over the Pacific Ocean or something cool like that…but I’m not. So I was at my last day of work getting everything situated when I got a call from my sister that my mom changed my flight. It’s a long story and lots of complications, but I had fixed and arranged everything the night before. But after that call, I had to come up with a new plan. But thank you to everyone at Prudential! You guys make my life a little easier. I’m moved out of my apartment and I’m home in Milford, PA. Yes! In Milford, so yes yes I’ll be calling those of you who may be around. Don’t worry. But now I won’t be leaving until Monday night. Technically Tuesday early morning (1:30am) but I have to be at the airport at 10pm Monday. So my cousin and sister came home for the day and they just left for school, so we had one final family lunch before we left. My parents got us all a coming home (since we don’t do that much)/going away cake but…it said happy birthday on it.

We all got a kick out of it…maybe it’s a “had to be there” moment. So, I’m now leaving the 27th and arriving in Shanghai the 29th. I was kind of disappointed because I was really looking forward to staying in my hotel I booked, but I won’t be. Instead, I’ll just go straight to Fudan. But to stay at the hotel is only $27 US a night, so hopefully sometime this semester I’ll make it there, because I do love hotels! Plus, I can always go with someone. My friend from Shanghai, who is in the US now, told me that a lot of girls call rooms in the hotels and told me not to pick up. Apparently they offer services to girls as well…ew. Everything seems stressful at the moment but as the time gets closer, I’m sure everything will work out. So for the next day, I’ll be home enjoying this 100 degree weather, ick, and hanging out with my siblings and friends. Hopefully, when Monday rolls around, I’ll be on my plane and off to China and that’s where I will write again. Until next time, enjoy the heat!
